Is she 18 months yet?

Ok, I hate to say this, but, Is she 18 months yet? I don't think I can ever remember a time I have ever been on the move so much. Today was a real test of my patience at church. It doesn't help that nap time is during 2 hours of church. If I could actually get her to go to sleep during church it would be no big deal, but she only goes to sleep in her car seat or crib. So being sleep deprived doesn't help any. Mckenzie was a complete tornado today. Crawling under pews, running up to the podium during prayer, throwing her sippy cup back behind us and I'm pretty sure she hit someone. On the move constantly. I don't ever try to go to 2nd hour but today I couldn't even go to Relief Society. We lasted through the opening song and prayer and then she was trying to escape and when I would try to contain her she would screach, like she was being abused or something. 2 more months and then she'll be old enough to go to nursery. I have never been so excited for something so small:)

Adventures at Adeventureland!!!

Cameron the dinosaur and Riley the cowboy
Cameron

cuties!

On Tuesday, Brice and Cameron came up to our house to go to Adventureland Amusement Park on Wednesday with Riley and me. The boys decided to dress up before bedtime. Cameron dressed up as a dinosaur and Riley dressed up as a cowboy. They enjoyed themselves greatly. The next day we headed out to Adventureland around 10am. It was a fun day, minus the fact that Riley had to be dragged onto every ride. He was very scared. Which was surprising to me since he has been here the last 2 years and did fine. We went to the Circus and Kokomo Cove(water park) too. Cameron on the other hand, was the one we thought would have a difficult time since he hadn't been to an amusement park before. He did amazing. He went on every roller coaster. His favorite was The Dragon, a roller coaster that goes upside down. Riley enjoyed the train ride through the park. All in all it was a fun day. The boys did great and I really enjoyed spending the day with "the boys-Brice, Cameron and Riley".

The Greek Islands...

This weekend I went up and hung out with Brice and Cameron in Omaha. WE had planned on going to the zoo but due to some kids fest it was packed and we didn't want to have to deal with the throngs of people so we headed out to the bridge that crosses the Missouri river. It was the same bridge that Brice and I went to on our first date:) We took pictures of Cameron lying on the bridge were Nebraska and Iowa meet. Cameron took a picture of Brice and me too. Me sitting in Iowa and Brice in Nebraska. Pretty much tells our story! Then we went to the Childrens Museum. It was cute. Cameron had been there a couple of times with school but Brice and I had not been there before. I honestly can say we were not impressed but maybe we are a little to grown up. Then our hungry tummies took us to The Greek Islands. A little restuarant that had interesting food. Brice and I shared a combination plate and we got a little bit of everything, some good and some not so hot! We had Dolmades which was beef and rice mixed up and then wrapped in a grape leaf with a lemon sauce poured over. Pastichio which is a pasta dish that is unque, Brice didn't like it but I thought it was good. It's layer of potatoe, cheese, ground beef with cinnamon and then pasta. Chicken Rignati which was basically chicken leg and breast cooked different. Not sure how, but not much to write home about on that one. And then Brice's favorite was the Souvalki which is pork on a shish kabob. We also had greek potaotes. And then for desert, I ordered Baklava and Brice ordered and ice cream cake. The boys both thought the Baklava looked weird but they both loved it:)

Sparklers and big booms!

Brice and Cameron invited me to a baseball game at the Rosenblatt Stadium on Friday night. I drove up Friday, and then we headed over to the field. Ate lots of junk food, like Nachos, Snow Cones and my favorite, Cotton Candy. We also got poured on. That was exciting in itself. Of course, it did clear out the stadium. But we stayed, just in case it did stop raining and they did the fireworks. It was funny, all 3 of us and a couple more thousand of people standing under the bleachers trying to stay dry. About 20 mins later it did stop raining and we were able to watch a great fireworks display. On Saturday, we bought some fireworks and other noisy, bright things. We had fun setting those off and no one ended up in the ER. I'm sure all the neighbors were glad when we were done:) We got some really noisy ones and big bright flashy ones, that I'm sure should have something on it about causing seizures. The 4th of July is always one of my favorite holidays. Mostly because it is such a fun family holiday. My kids, were at Jason's for the week so I was unable to spend the holiday with them but I know that they had a fun time too.
